Hey and thanks for visiting Chitown Vegan! Before eating plant-based, I was sick and tired - literally! I constantly battled sinus infections, allergies and asthma. Slowly but surely, I was gaining weight eating the Standard American Diet (SAD). I knew it was time to put my health first. After trying to get an appointment with my allergist and being told there was a month wait, I decided to heal myself.

Since switching to a plant-based diet, I have lost 30+ lbs, no longer suffer from asthma and discovered my love for cooking! After experiencing all of the benefits of this lifestyle from the inside-out, I started Chitown Vegan to share quick and easy plant-based recipes, vegan events and my favorite Chicago area vegan-friendly restaurants.
